Lexus added the Black Line to its GX SUV for the first time in the 2022 model year. The luxury carmaker has announced that the decor will be 2023 back as a special edition of Black Line.
Black Line will now be standard on the panoramic monitor aerial camera system. Lexus will also expand Black Line's external palette to include the new Eminent White Pearl, which adds the Nori Green Pearl colors that are exclusive to Obsidian and Black Line.
Visually, Lexus added dark finishes to the GX's skateboard, grille, fog lights, roof spoilers and shark fins. In the rear, the SUV's transparent taillights feature black inserts, while the distinctive 18-inch glossy black wheels are located in the corner. Inside, the SUV's steering wheel has a black roof lining, gray stitching and black matte gray wood trim. Lexus also offers a brand new Boulder Grey NuLuxe seating decor.

Black Line will continue to use the brand's naturally aspirated 4.6-liter V-8 engine, which continues to produce 301 horsepower (221 kilowatts) and 329 pound-feet (446 Newton meters) of torque in the GX series. All-wheel drive is standard throughout the series, with the engine paired with a six-speed automatic transmission. The large SUV reached 60 miles per hour in the 7.8 seconds Lexus claims.
Other changes to the GX lineup are minimal. The carmaker is replacing its Starfire Eminent Pearl exterior colour with the White Pearl, while completely removing the Claret Mica from its 2023 model. The luxurious interior of the GX 460 now comes standard with the Mark Levinson advanced surround sound system.
