Step 1: Jack Up the vehicle and use the Jack Bracket fixed, remove the bumper to facilitate operation.
Step 2: Remove all dirt and grease from the front and back of the affected area. The cleaned surface should extend from the crack to about 100 mm.
Step 3: Use an angle grinder or cutting wheel to remove excess fiberglass hairs or jagged plastic. Use An angle grinder to cut the wheel as far as possible to straighten the rigid edge.
Step 4: Sand the damaged area with # 60 sandpaper. A maximum of 30 mm around the repaired surface of the plastic and 100 mm on the fiberglass bumper.
Step 5: Use a cloth to remove excess dust, and if a Air compressor is available, use it to blow away excess dust on the surface.
Step 6: Clean the area with a paint preparation or 3m wax and grease remover.
Step 7: Cut 4-6 pieces of fiberglass board, 30-50 mm larger than the affected area.
Step 8: Mix the catalyst and the resin according to the bumper repair product instructions. When mixed correctly, you should see a color change.
Step 9: apply the Resin to the repair area with a paintbrush.
Step 10: coat the fiberboard layer by layer while providing sufficient resin between the two layers.
Step 11: Apply Resin to the front of the repair area and let it dry for 30 minutes.
Step 12: Polish off the lumpy, uneven resin structure to match the normal smooth curvature of the bumper.
Step 13: clean the repair area with a paint preparation or 3m wax and grease remover.
Step 14: Mix the contents according to the instructions attached to the repair kit.
Step 15: use tape to pull the opposite edges of the broken surface together.
Step 16: At the back of the repair area, apply the bumper repair product with a putty knife or Bondo applicator to ensure coverage of the area extending approximately 50 mm from the crack.
Step 17: prepare and mix the body filler according to the packing instructions.
Step 18: remove the tape. Start peeling off the tape and removing it from the bumper.
Step 19: Polish the surface to see how it looks. As you Polish it, the surface should gradually transition from rough to almost smooth.
Step 20: Use 180 Grit sandpaper to prepare the primer for the repair area and grind until the repair area is smooth and even.
Step 21: Clean the repair area with a paint preparation or 3m wax and grease remover.
Step 22: cover the surface around the repaired area with paper and masking tape to prepare the primer.
Step 23: apply 3-5 coats of Primer, allowing enough time for the primer to dry before applying the next coat.
